Madbush Falls, Vermont's bike and ski basecamp in the Mad River Valley is hiring for a line cook! One of Vermont's most exciting new culinary offerings, our team has earned over 250 5-star food reviews in its first few years of operation. You will work with a tight, competent crew, preparing food according to our popular recipes that celebrate Vermont. You'll help maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work together to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Whether you're an experienced line cook jumping into the grill station right away, or new to kitchen work and supporting our team, we have a spot for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare food items according to recipes and specifications. Ensure that all food items are properly cooked and served at the correct temperature. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and workstations. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that our high standards are met. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed. Open or close the kitchen on any opening or closing shifts.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent ~1 year or more of experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting. If you don't have experience, we can hire you as a prep cook and dishwasher to help get that experience. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Serve safe or food safety Certification Preferred Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances

Pay:

$20-$25 per hour based on experience
