Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on kitchen needs Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety of all food products Support meal preparation for catering events or large orders as needed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide or dietary department assistant Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal presentation Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members Experience with menu planning, food industry standards, and catering operations is preferred Familiarity with cleaning protocols and operating kitchen equipment safely Previous restaurant or food service experience demonstrating a solid understanding of the culinary process Join us to bring your culinary passion to life!
