Job Overview Head of the kitchen, we are a beach bar right by Pewaukee Beach. We serve burgers, seafood, huge sandwiches, tons of appetizer, soups and weekly specials. Need to be able to work independently! Will train on how we do things, you would be coming into a brand new kitchen just expanded to have kitchen hoods, flat top, fryers etc. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items ensuring all dishes meet quality standards. Prep for the day come in early or stay later to get the prepping done for service. Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to deliver visually appealing meals. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning to minimize waste. Support inhouse large private events and sometimes outside catering events Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment. Experience in kitchen operations, including food industry practices such as portion control, inventory management, and food presentation.
