DETAILER / CHECK-IN TEAM
Nature of Work:
This is skilled manual labor involving the cleaning and inspecting of customers vehicles before and after repairing. Employee of this class must be able to identify damage, identify flaws and inspect the vehicle upon completion. Always willing to go above and beyond the customer's expectation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform a very thorough inspection including documenting the vehicles condition before entering the repair process. (i.e. mileage, vehicle options, fuel and unrelated damages)
  • Perform a very detailed car wash including under the hood, door jambs, and wheel well cleaning to remove all dirt prior to vehicle entering the repair process.
  • Performing inspection of completed repairs. Removing minor flaws in the refinish using sanding and buffing.
  • Reporting and larger noticeable repair concerns or paint defects to management
  • Completing a full interior detail on every vehicle unless told otherwise by management. Complete vacuum including trunk, all windows along with wiping interior panels and seats.
  • Completing a full exterior detail on every vehicle unless told otherwise by management. Wash, rinse and dry all door jambs, under hood and exterior. Cleaning and scrubbing wheels and tires.
  • Finalize detail, wax, remove swirl marks around panels that were wet sanded and buffed. Remove all wax. Inspect vehicle completely outside under proper lighting.
  • Fill out final QC sheet documenting mileage and sign off that completed detail was performed.
  • Keep detail area clean and organized. Assist other departments in the maintenance of all equipment.
  • Perform related work as required by management.
Keep all bottles used labeled correctly. If worn off or needing replacement, inform management.
Requirement of Work:
  • Thorough knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety equipment provided.
  • Knowledge if what chemicals are used and review of safety data sheet per chemical.
  • Ability to multi-task. May be asked to complete multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must be very organized and detailed.
  • Clean driver's license.
Notifying management if any change for insurance purposes.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
