Job Description

S&C Body Shop & Auto Repair is looking for an experienced Automotive Paint Buffer & Detailer to join our team that has experience in paint correction. We have been in business for 30 years and provide a family like environment and truly take care of our employees. Job description:
Buff fresh paint from the body shop to achieve a smooth, flawless finish.
Performing specific duties as requested:
wet sand to remove scratches, buff dull areas, removing water spots, paint imperfections, trash, fisheyes Applying compounds, wax, and protective coatings Wet-sanding and smoothing Inspecting vehicle surfaces for defects before and after polishing Maintaining polishing equipment and materials Wash and detail interior and exterior of vehicle to shop standards Assist in any additional tasks that is needed around the shop
Requirements:
Must have 2+ years of vehicle buffing experience working in a shop Must have 1+ years of vehicle washing and detailing of vehicles Must know how to use buffers and polishing machines Have experience buffing out trash, fisheyes, and scratches, paint correction Occasionally lift and/or move over 40 pounds. Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently check ins and outs of vehicles Walk/stand for the majority of the workday. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

$20/hr plus overtime M-F 8am-6pm

Have you performed wet sanding and buffing to remove defects such as trash, fisheyes, or scratches on fresh automotive paint? Are you comfortable using a rotary buffer or DA polisher for long periods without burning or damaging paint? Briefly describe your experience with wet sanding and buffing fresh paint.
