Duties Prepare ingredients and assist with food production, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients for various menu items. Cook and assemble dishes following established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food safety sanitizing tools safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to food safety procedures throughout the shift. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients for upcoming meals and assisting with catering or high-volume production needs. Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times to meet food safety standards. Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels or equipment issues. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Strong knife skills and experience with food handling safety protocols. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with high-volume production settings or catering is a plus. Understanding of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and recipe adherence. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations and dietary needs.
