Duties Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the culinary team, including ingredient handling and assembly. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, workstations, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for guests. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances. Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling and sanitation of all food items. Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Skills Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices. Experience in food handling, food service, or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of pots, pans, and boxes of supplies. Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sinks safely. Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep when needed. Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a secure workspace. Excellent organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
