Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with food safety management practices by following sanitizing procedures and documenting cleaning schedules. Skills Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting. Experience with food handling, kitchen cleaning, and basic food preparation techniques. Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools safely. Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards including proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, especially in fast-paced environments like banquet or catering settings. Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks when necessary. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently as part of a team while managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
