Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep! In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchenware, utensils, and food preparation areas while assisting with basic food preparation tasks. Your energetic approach will help maintain a smooth kitchen operation, uphold food safety standards, and support our culinary staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation. Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety standards. Maintain organized storage of clean dishes and kitchen supplies to promote efficiency. Support the kitchen team by helping with basic cooking tasks under supervision, including meal assembly and plating. Follow strict food safety protocols during handling, cleaning, and food prep activities to prevent contamination. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances. Keep work areas clean and sanitized throughout shifts to meet health department regulations and safety standards. Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Prior food service or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations. Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff. Basic culinary skills including knife handling, slicing techniques, and food prep methods. Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Experience in catering or large-scale food production is a plus. Understanding of safety standards in food production environments.
