This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for our residents, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, follows food safety standards, and understands the importance of teamwork in a healthcare dining setting. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dish room, dining, and food storage areas Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines at all times Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as plating, portioning, or prep work as needed Ensure trash and recycling are removed promptly and disposal areas are kept clean Collaborate with culinary and dining staff to support smooth meal service operations Experience & Qualifications Previous experience in dishwashing or food service roles preferred Knowledge of food handling regulations, sanitation standards, and safety procedures Experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or healthcare settings is a plus but not required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to support team members Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Compassionate attitude with respect for residents and coworkers #
