Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher/Closer to join our team. As a Dishwasher-closer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, kitchen and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized efficiently. As a closer, you will be coming into the restaurant at the end of the day to clean the kitchen after staff leaves. As a dishwasher during the day you will need to keep a fast pace.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils
• Assist with food preparation and handling as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area including floors, countertops, and sinks
• Empty trash bins regularly
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
• Knowledge of proper food handling and safety procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects if necessary
