Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Staff Dishwasher and Prep! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment that supports exceptional food service. Your energy and attention to detail will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food quality, creating a positive experience for both team members and guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies to support kitchen operations Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors, work surfaces, sinks, and storage spaces to meet sanitation standards Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting in the removal of trash and recyclables from the kitchen and dining areas Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, mixers, and other small appliances Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling of food items and uphold health regulations Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within a commercial kitchen setting Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene Basic knife skills for food prep are a plus but can be developed on the job Experience with catering or banquet service is advantageous but not mandatory A positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and hospitality excellence Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by supporting our kitchen's smooth operation!
