Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting the overall food service operation. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation, enabling our kitchen to run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and dish racks while adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas. Support kitchen staff with general cleaning duties to uphold kitchen health and safety standards. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is a plus. Ability to operate commercial dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy loads consistently. Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards, including proper knife skills for basic food prep tasks if applicable. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a busy environment. Prior banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is key.
