Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment while supporting food preparation and service. As a key player in our hospitality setting, you will ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized to the highest standards, enabling our culinary staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help uphold our commitment to food safety, sanitation, and excellent customer service. Duties Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual cleaning techniques. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning food items according to safety standards. Support the bussing of tables by clearing plates, utensils, and glassware efficiently to maintain a clean dining area. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy loads of dishes or supplies safely and efficiently. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools with proper safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness of workstations by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly throughout shifts. Assist in food handling activities during busy service times or catering events while adhering to sanitation standards. Support the overall sanitation of the kitchen environment by disposing of waste properly and ensuring compliance with health standards. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly valued. Experience with dishwashing equipment operation and basic kitchen tasks is advantageous. Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards including proper manual handling techniques is desirable. Prior banquet or catering experience can be an asset for supporting large-scale events.
