Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping and ingredient handling under supervision. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station promptly. Follow all food safety management and sanitation standards to uphold health regulations and ensure a clean working environment. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools safely and efficiently. Handle manual lifting of heavy items like large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, storage areas, and dining spaces in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a fast-paced environment with energy and enthusiasm. Strong understanding of kitchen health standards, food handling protocols, and sanitation regulations. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others in a hospitality setting. Previous experience in catering, banquet service, hotel kitchens, or culinary roles is a plus but not required.
