Shawnee Recreation Manager Looking for a leader who loves the outdoors and hiking! This position requires weekends and is full time during the summer months. Hours will be reduced during the off season. Job functions include, but are not limited to, warmly greeting guests, preparing for activities planned each day, executing and actively engaging guests in activities, organizing and maintaining inventory, and ensuring guest safety. Responsible for training, evaluating, counseling, informing, disciplining, reviewing all recreation staff and the activities within the resort. Setting goals for the recreation department and glamping experience and clearly communicating these to your staff and management. Assessing the needs of the recreation staff. Ensuring all staff are on time for their activity (on time is 5 minutes early). Coordinating with grounds department for needed vehicles. Communication with housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, front desk, etc… regarding needs for the department. Responsible for monthly staff meeting. Ensuring the beach is raked and chairs are straightened every morning. Ensuring Volleyball Court is raked and net is in good condition by 9:00am Tennis courts are swept, nets are in good condition and benches are straightened and placed in their designated positions by 9:00am. Transportation Assist in the planning, direct, and coordinate the transportation needs for Resort groups and guests.
