Candidate must be extremely organized and outgoing, work well with a team and have at least 1 year of experience in the wedding or event industry. The Event Coordinator is responsible for wedding and/or event logistics and flawless execution of these events, which includes (but not limited to) timelines, floorplans, menu planning, catering needs, setup, etc. The coordinator works collaboratively with the client, the in-house catering staff and outside vendors to ensure the success of weddings and events.
Position requires:
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills Keen communication skills Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to accommodate events. Ascertain client needs and make appropriate recommendations to client on how to best utilize venue and resources. Creates and manages banquet event orders (BEOs) for events. Responsible for tracking appropriate event charges and billing. Completes data entry of event information into the event management/scheduling software including Gather, Timeline Genius and All Seated. Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word and other applicable applications. Perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision. Build effective working relationships with outside vendors. Ability to remain calm and function effectively in stressful situations. Prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to sustain and endure through peak seasons. Creative problem-solving skills Culinary expertise is preferred Coordinates staff for onsite, day of event support, including checking setups, catering and inspecting event space to meet client expectations. Will be present the day of wedding and/or event. Assists in the training of the catering staff. Ensures quality of service provided by catering staff. Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the venue. The starting pay is $21 per hour and includes the following benefits: A minimum of $10K in contracted gratuities in first full season of weddings and beyond Annual travel to the Wedding MBA Conference Green fees on the golf course!
