Looking for a flexible part-time Security Guard & Event Staff position in Connecticut? Join Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC) , the leader in event security services, and help provide a safe and secure environment at some of Connecticut's most exciting sporting events, concerts, and special events. CSC is currently hiring Security Guards & Event Staff for venues throughout Connecticut, including: UCONN Football at Rentschler Field (East Hartford, CT) UCONN Basketball & UCONN Hockey (Storrs-Mansfield, CT) Concerts & Special Events at Rentschler Field (East Hartford, CT) Concerts & Events at People's Bank Arena (Hartford, CT) SOCCER at Trinity Health Stadium (Hartford, CT) About the Roles As a Security Guard , you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security for guests, athletes, performers, staff, and venue personnel. Security Guards are responsible for access control, guest screening, crowd management, incident reporting, and enforcing venue policies to ensure a safe event experience for everyone. The Event Staff position provides general support for events including ticket taking, ushering, and guest services. Their role requires good judgment, flexibility, strong attention to directives, strong observation skills and vigilance. This position is ideal for individuals who are observant, professional, dependable, and able to remain calm in dynamic environments. Responsibilities Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas Perform access control and credential verification Conduct bag checks and operates screening equipment Support crowd management and maintain orderly guest flow Provide field, stage, and restricted-area protection Respond appropriately to security concerns and suspicious activity Observe and report incidents to event leadership Assist guests with directions and customer service needs Help ensure compliance with venue rules and safety procedures Maintain a professional security presence throughout events Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma or GED required Must be authorized to work in the United States Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain alert and exercise sound judgment Ability to work effectively in a team environment Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods Weekend availability required Connecticut Security Guard Card (Must have physical active guard card) Schedule & Commitment Part-time Flexible scheduling Self-scheduling opportunities available Evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts available 4, 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts offered
