Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and automotive welding equipment. Fabricate and modify vehicle parts utilizing fabrication repair techniques, working with sheet metal and other materials to restore vehicle integrity. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting, auto restoration, and automotive body refinishing to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Utilize auto estimating skills to assess damage severity, prepare repair plans, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the repair process. Operate airless paint spraying equipment for even application of paint and coatings while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks like auto parts installation, detailing, and light mechanical work to support overall vehicle restoration efforts. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician with dealership or independent shops preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment operation. Strong fabrication skills including working with sheet metal and performing fabrication repairs. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive structural repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and auto painting equipment for detailed cosmetic work. Ability to perform automotive dent repair, auto body refinishing, auto painting, and detailing with attention to quality. Knowledge of automotive parts installation including auto glass replacement and assembly processes. Experience with auto estimating software and customer service practices for effective communication with clients.
