Banquet Manager Tyler's Bar & Grille Job Summary Tyler's Bar & Grille is seeking an energetic, organized, and hospitality-driven Banquet Manager to oversee banquet operations, private events, and banquet sales. This position is responsible for generating new event opportunities, managing client relationships, coordinating event details, and executing successful events that deliver an exceptional guest experience while increasing banquet revenue. The Banquet Manager will work closely with ownership, management, kitchen staff, and service teams to drive banquet sales, develop repeat business, and ensure every event meets Tyler's Bar & Grille standards. Responsibilities Banquet Sales & Client Development Generate new banquet sales opportunities through outreach, networking, community partnerships, and referrals Respond to event inquiries, conduct client consultations, and guide guests through the booking process Create event proposals, menus, and packages tailored to client needs Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, community organizations, and private event customers Conduct room showings Follow up with leads to secure bookings and increase event revenue Maintain relationships with past clients to encourage repeat business and referrals Track sales goals, bookings, and revenue opportunities Event Operations Oversee all banquet and private event operations Coordinate event details including timelines, room layouts, setup, menus, service style, and guest requests Review banquet event orders and communicate expectations to all departments Lead event setup, execution, and breakdown while maintaining high service standards Schedule, train, and supervise banquet staff to ensure efficient service Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review event details and service expectations Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food preparation, timing, and presentation meet standards Manage beverage service, bar setup, and special beverage requests Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly Maintain inventory of banquet supplies, equipment, and service items Qualifications Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, hospitality management, or sales experience preferred Proven ability to generate sales and build client relationships Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Key Performance Expectations Increase banquet revenue through proactive sales efforts Achieve event booking and sales goals Deliver exceptional guest experiences from inquiry through event completion Develop repeat business and long-term client relationships Maintain strong teamwork between banquet, kitchen, sales, and management teams
