Student - Events Assistant Newman University - 4.0 Wichita, KS Job Details Part-time $10 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication In-person customer service Event customer service Full Job Description The Student Campus Events Assistant supports the University Advancement Office by assisting with campus events and providing administrative support. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to work independently and as part of a team. Approximately 75% of the position involves event setup, teardown, and on-site event support, while the remaining 25% consists of administrative tasks completed during regular business hours.
Responsibilities:
Event Setup & Support Set up and tear down tables, chairs, linens, signage, décor, and event equipment. Arrange event spaces according to event needs and ensure spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready. Transport event supplies between storage and event locations. Event Assistance Serve as an on-site representative for the Advancement Office during campus and external events. Greet vendors and guests and assist with event-related questions or needs. Help monitor event spaces and communicate any issues to the Events Coordinator. Administrative & Advancement Support Assist with data entry, filing, mailings, and other office tasks. Support alumni and advancement events through preparation, decorating, auction support, and day-of logistics.
Requirements:

Days, evenings, weekends depending on event schedule and needs in Advancement Office.
Rate of pay:
