Full Job Description Position Description :
The Corporate Engagement & Events Coordinator develops and coordinates meaningful opportunities for corporations, businesses, community groups, and other partners to engage with Operation Breakthrough. The position coordinates corporate tours, employee service opportunities, special events, and third party fundraising events that strengthen relationships, increase community awareness, and generate resources to support Operation Breakthrough's mission.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management, hospitality, business, marketing, event planning, community engagement, or related field, or equivalent experience. Two or more years of experience in event coordination, community engagement, corporate relations, fundraising, hospitality, or a related field. Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously and remain flexible when plans change. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Experience working in a nonprofit organization and/or with corporate employee service programs is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Corporate Engagement Coordinate corporate tours and visits, providing an engaging introduction to Operation Breakthrough's mission, programs, children, families, and impact. Develop and coordinate employee service opportunities that meet organizational needs and provide meaningful experiences for corporate participants. Serve as the primary contact before, during, and after corporate visits and service projects. Coordinate schedules, group size, activities, supplies, space, staff participation, and other logistics. Welcome groups, provide on-site coordination, and follow up to gather feedback and identify opportunities for continued engagement. Build and maintain strong corporate relationships and encourage deeper engagement through service, advocacy, sponsorship, philanthropy, and partnership. Third Party Fundraising & Special Events Coordinate third party fundraising events organized by corporations, community groups, individuals, and other partners. Serve as the liaison between Operation Breakthrough and event organizers, providing guidance on event concepts, logistics, promotion, organizational branding, and participation. Plan and coordinate Operation Breakthrough special events, celebrations, community gatherings, and donor events. Coordinate staff, vendors, sponsors, community partners, materials, hospitality, setup, and event logistics. Track participation, event outcomes, funds raised, and other relevant information and ensure appropriate follow up and stewardship. Community & Relationship Development Build relationships with businesses, corporations, civic organizations, community groups, schools, and other potential partners. Identify new opportunities for corporate service, employee engagement, sponsorships, in kind support, fundraising, and partnership. Collaborate with Development staff and the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure coordinated partner engagement and avoid duplication of responsibilities. Maintain accurate records of corporate and community engagement activities and provide regular reports on outcomes. Understand that a tour, service project, or event is more than an activity.
