Job Description

Position Summary The Wedding Maître d'/Bridal Attendant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of wedding reception execution, ensuring seamless event flow, exceptional guest service, and flawless coordination between the couple, vendors, and venue staff. The Maître d' serves as the primary point of contact throughout the event, proactively managing the timeline and resolving any issues to create an outstanding guest experience. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead event coordinator on the wedding day and primary liaison for the couple, vendors, and venue staff. Ensure ceremony and reception timelines are executed accurately and efficiently. Welcome the wedding party and key family members upon arrival. Direct grand entrances, first dances, speeches, cake cutting, parent dances, and other scheduled events. Communicate continuously with the culinary team, bartenders, DJs/bands, photographers, and other vendors to maintain smooth event flow. Supervise banquet staff to ensure timely food and beverage service. Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address concerns with professionalism and discretion. Handle last-minute changes, unexpected situations, and logistical challenges while maintaining a calm, solutions-focused approach. Ensure venue standards for cleanliness, presentation, and service excellence are upheld throughout the event. Manage the event breakdown process and coordinate vendor departures at the conclusion of the reception. Complete post-event reports and communicate any noteworthy issues to management. Qualifications Previous experience in wedding, banquet, hospitality, or event management preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-pressure environments. Exceptional attention to detail. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
