Company Description:
Fueled Collective is a privately owned coworking space and event venue located in the heart of Rookwood Commons at the Rookwood Exchange building. Our community enjoys 2 floors and over 25,000 square feet of space, complimentary amenities, and recurring member events. We are seeking a part-time Hospitality & Event Associate to provide day-of support for private events and meetings. This position is part of a larger hospitality and events team, working alongside other team members to help ensure meetings and events run smoothly from setup through breakdown. This is an extremely part-time, event-based position with a variable schedule. Hours are based entirely on our event calendar and are not guaranteed from week to week. Some weeks may have no available shifts, while busier weeks may offer 10+ hours. Our busiest event season is typically September through December, with evening and weekend availability especially valuable during this time. This position is best suited for someone looking for flexible, supplemental work rather than a consistent weekly schedule.
Job Description:
Provides day-of support for in-person events and meetings. Working with clients to fit their personal needs and being adaptable to any forthcoming changes during the event. Supervising the set-ups for all events and meetings according to floorplan (breaking down furniture, resetting rooms for next day of business at end of event). Assists with registration during in-person events, including name tags and signage, greeting and checking-in guests, and registering guests. Monitors event programs and provides assistance to clients during meetings and events. Assists with facility and catering set-up and clean-up. Set-up and troubleshoot A/V equipment, including projectors, screens, laptops, microphone hookups. Proactively identify ways to improve the office processes and elevate team excellence.
Requirements Include:
Flexible availability based on the event calendar. Evening and weekend availability is expected, particularly during the September through December busy season. Must understand that shifts are offered on an as-needed basis and that there may be weeks with no scheduled hours. Organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and outgoing. Ability to move throughout the venue, supervise deliveries, and assist with event setup and breakdown, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience in events, restaurants, bars, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
Work Attire:
All black as this makes the event team easily identifiable to the host and their guests. Black Fueled Collective shirts will be provided at no additional cost if desired.
Pay & Hours:
Part-time, hourly position Starting pay: $15/hour Variable, event-based schedule No minimum weekly hours guaranteed Hours may range from 0 hours during slower weeks to 10+ hours during busier weeks Majority of shifts are evenings and weekends Complimentary Fueled Collective membership
