Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Event Support Staff member to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of a variety of events, ranging from corporate gatherings to community celebrations. Your responsibilities will include assisting with event planning, managing on-site operations, and providing exceptional customer service to guests and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in event management while contributing to memorable experiences for attendees. Duties Assist in the coordination and execution of event logistics, including venue setup, catering arrangements, and technical requirements Support event marketing efforts through promotion and outreach activities Manage event budgets by tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective solutions Utilize event management software and CRM systems to organize guest lists, registrations, and client communications Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, guiding attendees, and ensuring a welcoming environment Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and team members to ensure timely delivery of services and supplies Oversee on-site operations during events, including managing staff schedules and troubleshooting issues promptly Facilitate contract negotiations with vendors and oversee catering and banquet arrangements Assist with fundraising initiatives related to events by promoting participation and securing sponsorships Maintain detailed records of event activities, budgets, and client feedback for continuous improvement Experience Prior experience in hospitality or events management is highly desirable Proven skills in negotiation, upselling, and client communication within the events or hospitality industry Familiarity with event marketing strategies and project management principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as event management software tools Experience managing event budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills Knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, and guest hospitality standards is advantageous This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in the dynamic field of event support. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 40.0 per week
