We are looking for an experienced Catering and Venue Sales and Event Planner to join our team! The Event Planner is a key role within our catering and event company, responsible for planning and executing client events with precision and creativity. This position involves coordinating with vendors and clients, managing logistics, and ensuring seamless event execution. The Event Planner is also responsible for client follow-up, proposal preparation, maintaining the event calendar, and promoting the company externally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan and coordinate client events, from initial consultation to event execution.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored event solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors, including caterers, venues, decorators, and other service providers.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, transportation, and on-site coordination.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and budgets for client events, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to solicit feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain an up-to-date event calendar, tracking all upcoming events and key milestones.
  • Promote the company externally through networking, attending industry events, and leveraging social media.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Handle any issues or challenges that arise during the planning and execution of events, ensuring a smooth and successful outcome.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continuously improving the quality of our events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. Experience in Event planning, preferably within the catering or event industry. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
