Special Events Manager

Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Events Manager at JAFCO will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a range of events that align with the company's objectives and enhance its brand presence. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring each event is successful and meets the desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and execute events from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution. Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Coordinate logistics including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodation. Oversee event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance event offerings. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all events. Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and volunteers involved in event planning and execution.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in a corporate setting. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events from conception to execution. Experience working with vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing budgets effectively.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in event management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing and motivating a team.
