Job Description
This event is September 16- September 20th. Availability from 8am-10pm. Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Event Staff (Security), where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of event attendees, staff, and property. This energetic position involves proactive surveillance, access control, conflict management, and emergency response to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Your expertise in physical security measures, law enforcement procedures, and customer service will help maintain order and uphold safety standards throughout various events. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of event security operations, making a positive impact on every gathering. Duties Monitor event premises using CCTV systems and perform regular patrols to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Control access points by verifying credentials, performing background checks, and managing entry/exit procedures with access control systems Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports, managing conflicts through de-escalation techniques, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting for equipment setup or crowd management tools while adhering to safety protocols Perform first aid and CPR when required, operate AED devices, and assist in emergency response procedures to ensure attendee safety Enforce security regulations by conducting background checks on staff or vendors and ensuring compliance with venue policies Engage with attendees professionally to provide excellent customer service, address concerns, and promote a safe environment Skills Proven experience in surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, or security roles within event environments Knowledge of law enforcement practices, firearm handling, Taser use, and conflict management strategies Strong understanding of physical security measures including patrolling routines and access control systems Ability to perform first aid procedures such as CPR and AED operation confidently Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail for documentation purposes Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations Excellent communication skills combined with customer service orientation to interact positively with diverse audiences Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking
