Position Summary Information Job Description Summary:
The Office of the President and University Events and Initiatives seeks a highly-motivated Student Assistant to help promote, plan, and support Pops in the Pavilion 2026, a Villanova signature event during Family Weekend supporting student scholarships. This position is ideal for students who enjoy and have experience in event planning, social media, content creation, marketing, and who want to take part in a high-energy, high-impact University event.
Requirements:
Experience in and willingness to grow in the areas of marketing, communication, creative content creation, social media, and event planning. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative, maturity, professionalism, tactfulness, and discretion while representing the Office of the President and Villanova University.
Additional Information:
Develop and implement a multi-platform communication and marketing plan leading up to the event, including creative content creation and the use of social media to promote Pops in the Pavilion to students and families. Build awareness and increase attendance for Pops in the Pavilion among students and families by creating and implementing various incentives and engagement initiatives. Support Pops in the Pavilion by assisting the Office of the President and University Events and Initiatives with various planning, tasks, and administrative items. Assist the Office of the President and University Events and Initiatives with other tasks and administrative items, as needed.
