Events Assistant

Job Description

About the Position 210 Events is looking for a reliable, organized, and personable Events Assistant to support our Director of Events with the planning and execution of weddings, private events, corporate events, and other special occasions. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, communicating with clients and vendors, staying organized, and making sure the details behind an event come together seamlessly. The Events Assistant will work closely with the Director of Events and will have the opportunity to take ownership of a variety of administrative, client-facing, and onsite event responsibilities. Responsibilities Respond to and follow up with event and wedding inquiries Assist with day-to-day communication with existing clients Monitor and manage inquiries through The Knot, Zola, Here Comes The Guide, & Email Keep event listings, information, and availability up to date on event platforms Assist with preparing event proposals, menus, timelines, and other client materials Send review requests and follow up with past clients Communicate with rental companies, vendors, and other event partners Place and track rental orders Assist with event planning, organization, and logistics Help prepare for upcoming events by reviewing timelines, layouts, menus, rentals, and other event details Attend and assist with events onsite, including weddings and private events Help ensure events run smoothly and address day-of needs as they arise Assist with setup, event execution, and breakdown as needed Complete administrative tasks and special projects assigned by the Director of Events Maintain organized and accurate event information and client records Provide professional and friendly service to clients, vendors, and guests What We're Looking For Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Professional, friendly, and confident when communicating with clients Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Reliable and able to follow through on responsibilities independently Comfortable working both behind the scenes and onsite at events Ability to problem-solve and remain calm when unexpected situations arise Comfortable learning and using event management platforms and software Previous event, hospitality, customer service, or administrative experience is preferred but not required Must have reliable transportation and be available for occasional evenings and weekends Schedule This is a part-time position averaging 20-35 hours per week , with the schedule varying based on event volume and business needs. Additional hours may be available for onsite event coverage, particularly during wedding and busy event seasons. The ideal candidate will have some flexibility with their schedule and be available for occasional evenings and weekends. Why Join 210 Events? Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
