About the Role We are looking for a Event Services Manager who will support the Director of Events and Event Services, overseeing the day-to-day operation in coordinating all requirements for various conference groups booked by the Group Sales Department. This position is responsible for enforcing the terms of sales agreement and guiding meeting planners through the planning process. Communicates the needs and expectations of the client with all departments in the hotel. Ensures successful execution of group and client satisfaction. This person will have strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service. What You Will Do Plan and finalize the requirements of confirmed group bookings and ensure effective communication through Resumes, BEOs, Daily Reports, etc. while maximizing revenue potential through upselling. Coordinate all guestroom reservations in conjunction with the Group Rooms Coordinator and coordinate group arrival and departures. Make personal contact with all departments to ensure the success of the event. Maintain an active trace/follow-up system. Find solutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arise while groups are on property and keep Director of Events promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate Act as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related clients needs, (i.e. Audio Visual, Florists, Décor etc.) Attend and participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Sales Meeting Pre-Convention Meetings, Post-Convention Meetings, Planning Visits, and Menu Tastings. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event. Assist with all guest inquires within the Sales, Catering and Conference Services department, including assistance with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections as needed. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in event management, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and client relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
