About the
Role:
Our Conference Services team is responsible for planning and executing conferences, events and meetings of all sizes for internal and external clients. They use strong organizational skills and ingenuity to create meaningful and impactful events, all while delivering a consistent, brand-certified experience. This is a hybrid internship, working three days per week in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office and two days remote. The intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week. We are seeking a local student who can start in May 2027.The Impact You'll Make:
Assist with all aspects of planning and registration for conferences, events and meetings of all sizes and in person, virtual or hybrid Work on various team projects including drafting and editing communications, creating registration sites, venue sourcing and other projects as necessary Manage, prepare and pack event supplies and items, such as preparing nametags and other printed materials Handle monthly credit card statements, check deposit process and expenses Potential opportunities to attend conferences, events or meetings to assist with set up, onsite logistics and staffing Gain insight into all the internal and external businesses the team works with Perform daily department duties What You'll Bring toBaird:
Pursuing a degree in hospitality, communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business or related degree Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later Commitment to delivering excellent customer service to clients and associates Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect clearly and professionally Professional, calm and courteous demeanor with the ability to interact with senior leadership Organizational excellence, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure high-quality and on-time delivery High level of motivation, proactivity and strategic thinking, with a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively Event planning experience is strongly preferred Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products Experience with graphic design, marketing, content creation and editing for promotional materials, such as Canva, is a plus Prior experience in an office setting is preferredAbout Our Intern Program:
