Wake House, a waterfront coffee shop and deli located on Lake Martin, is getting ready to start serving lunch Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm, and we're looking for one dependable person to handle our lunch prep and food assembly.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm 25 hours per week No nights. No weekends. Our lunch menu will be simple. Chicken salad sandwiches, wraps, club sandwiches, soups, cold sides and salads. This is not a traditional line cook position. There's no grill or fryer to work during lunch service. The job is mostly prepping ingredients, assembling sandwiches and wraps, making salads and serving soup. You'll come in at 10am, get everything ready for lunch, handle food orders from 11-2, then clean up, restock and prep for the next day before leaving at 3. What you'll be doing: Prepping lettuce, vegetables, meats, cheeses and toppings Setting up and stocking the lunch station Making sandwiches and wraps to order Making salads to order Portioning soup into cups Keeping everything stocked during lunch Keeping the prep and work areas clean Properly labeling, dating and storing food Prepping for the following day We're looking for somebody who is organized, works clean, can move quickly when we get busy and, most importantly, is dependable. We need to know you will show up on time, every time. This is a pretty straightforward job, but you'll basically be responsible for the lunch food operation, so we need someone who can come in every day and handle it without needing to be constantly supervised. Pay:
