Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Meat Department Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Meat Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meat products, expertly prepared and presented. This position requires the ability to handle knives, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Must be able to work weekends and evenings. Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality. Package meat products for display or sale, ensuring they are visually appealing and compliant with food safety regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions regarding meat products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to all food safety guidelines. Prepare value added items. Prepare and set seafood set. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate any shortages or needs to management. Qualifications Previous experience in meat department is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry. Customer service experience is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
