Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate sales processing, cash handling, and transaction management. Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and promote upselling opportunities to enhance sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability. Handle food handling responsibilities including slicing meats and cheeses, packaging products, and managing food safety protocols. Support other food service tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and assisting in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail grocery environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
