Food Services Team Member Seeking a Full Time (32 hours) Cook to work at Red Rock Recovery Center, a substance use disorder treatment provider with an inpatient facility in Morrison, CO. We are have an inpatient facility that provides detoxification, withdrawal management, and residential treatment services to adults with substance use disorders in Morrison, CO. We are looking for experienced and dedicated culinary talent to join our team and work in our facility to assist with operating a small kitchen which will serve 3 meals a day, snacks, and beverages to approximately 32 people per day.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Provides full meal and food service to patients and staff. Oversees all kitchen operations and culinary functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide full food service to patients and staff
• Food prep, service, and cleanup
• Implementing cost control strategies to ensure both quality and fiscal responsibility of operations
• Maintains food and supply inventory, creates and submits orders.
• Maintain compliance and safety in all aspects of kitchen operations; food storage, service, cleaning/sanitizing, etc.
• Assists the Environment of Care Coordinator in maintaining facility cleanliness and compliance, including managing tracking logs.
• Responsible for training additional kitchen staff and provider staff to ensure food service is completed.
• Collaborates with contracted dietician to ensure menu is nutrient based, flexible to dietary restrictions, and supportive of holistic treatment program

• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly organized with the ability to work independently and effectively manage a small kitchen.
• Skill in preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals which accounts for special dietary needs and preferences.
• Ability to communicate with patients and staff in a professional and caring manner.
• Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screen as well as ongoing random drug screens
• Ability to lift 50lbs.

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

3+ years working in kitchens Experience working with a vector oven or combi-oven

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

: Servsafe Manage Certification required, Degree or certificate in culinary arts or nutrition related field of study preferred

Residential facility in Morrison, CO. Facility is remote, aprox. 30 mins drive from Denver Metro. Environment is rural/mountain, commute will at times have snow and ice conditions. OTHER

• Equipment used: Vector oven, food warmer, microwave/convection oven, walk-in cooler, reach-in cooler, freezer, knives and other cooking utensils, raw meat and produce, packaged and unpackaged food items.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This employee must be of the conviction that alcoholism and drug addictions are treatable illnesses and constitute a public health problem. This employee must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all client-related information. This employee must, on their own behalf, keep current all licensure and certifications required to qualify as a culinary worker in the state of Colorado. As with all other Red Rock Recovery Center employees, the employee in this position shall have no history or evidence of alcoholism or other drug misuse for a period of six (6) months immediately prior to the date of employment, and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed with Red Rock Recovery Center.
