Job Overview We are looking for full time help at Morse's Sauerkraut & European Deli in Waldoboro Maine. We are a specialty grocery featuring imported cured meats, sausages, cheeses, imported specialty grocery. Whether you're new to food service or have prior experience, we're looking for enthusiastic individuals who take pride in providing excellent customer service and high-quality food. Duties Provide excellent customer service, makes product recommendations, and answers questions. Food Preparation, including slicing deli meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, and pricing and packaging items. Learn about new deli/grocery items. Manage deli samples Unloads daily deliveries and makes sure the deli display cases are organized and fully stocked. Bulk packing of sauerkraut & pickles. Operates all deli equipment according to safety guidelines. Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces, including meat and cheese slicers, deli display cases, and utensils. Packing Sauerkraut & pickles at our production facility in Union Follows written and verbal instructions. Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies. Qualifications Previous experience in deli, food preparation or food service environments such as restaurants is highly preferred Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting Join us to be part of a team dedicated to delivering foods with enthusiasm!
