Lead Food Service Associate Position Summary The Food Service Associate plans, organizes and helps manage the daily operations of the Dietary Department, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality food services to patients. This position is responsible for managing inventory and purchasing, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting food preparation and service activities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. ServSafe Certification required; ServSafe Manager Certification preferred. Previous food service experience required; healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards. Understands and utilizes leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Essential Duties Order food and supplies while maintaining departmental budgets. Ensure compliance with food safety, infection control, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards. Oversee food preparation, meal service, and cafeteria operations. Monitor inventory and maintain proper food storage and stock rotation. Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. Assist with meal preparation, tray line service, and other dietary functions as needed. Participate in meetings, training, and performance improvement initiatives. 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shift)
