Job Summary The Arrogant Butcher is hiring a Restaurant Counter Worker to support front-counter operations, customer service, order processing, and daily restaurant activities. This role assists customers with orders, processes payments, prepares and packages food items, maintains a clean service area, and supports the restaurant team during busy periods. Common Job Roles Restaurant Counter Worker Counter Service Associate Restaurant Counter Associate Front Counter Team Member Food Service Counter Worker Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Take dine-in, takeaway, and pickup orders accurately Answer basic questions about menu items, ingredients, and restaurant services Process cash, card, and other approved payment transactions Operate POS and ordering systems as trained Prepare, package, and serve customer orders accurately Coordinate customer requests and special instructions with kitchen staff Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked counter and service areas Restock packaging, utensils, napkins, beverages, condiments, and other supplies Assist with basic food and beverage preparation when needed Support kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods Address routine customer concerns and refer complex issues to management Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace safety procedures Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties Requirements Previous restaurant, food service, retail, cashier, or customer service experience is an asset but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math and payment-handling abilities Good attention to detail and order accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask Preferred Skills Experience in a restaurant, deli, or counter-service environment Familiarity with POS and order-processing systems Knowledge of basic food preparation and safe food handling Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities Good organization and time management skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn About the Company The Arrogant Butcher operates in the restaurant and hospitality industry, providing food and beverage service in a casual dining environment.
