The Sensory Village is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team! We are an inclusive sensory play space where children of all abilities can play, explore, and feel welcome. This part-time position is especially well-suited for someone who enjoys working with children and families and is looking for consistent weekend hours.

Schedule:

At least one weekend day each week is required , typically 6-10 hours depending on the day and business needs. Additional Thursday evening hours may also be available.

Responsibilities include:

Welcoming and assisting children and families Engaging positively with children throughout the play space Monitoring play areas and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment Cleaning and sanitizing play spaces, sensory materials, equipment, bathrooms, and common areas Cleaning and sanitizing areas following bodily-fluid accidents when necessary Resetting sensory spaces and materials throughout the day Assisting with birthday parties, special events, and other Sensory Village activities Helping with front-desk responsibilities and customer service We're looking for someone who: Truly enjoys working with children Is caring, patient, reliable, and enthusiastic Values inclusion and is comfortable interacting with children of varying abilities and needs Is willing to clean and understands that maintaining our space is an important part of the job Can work independently and as part of a small team Is available to work at least one weekend day every week Has experience working with children; experience in education, special education, childcare, recreation, or a related setting is a plus

Pay:

$12.50

•15.00/hour based on experience and qualifications. The Sensory Village is a small, locally owned business, and our team plays an important role in creating the warm, welcoming environment our families have come to love.
