Company Overview ShopRite Supermarkets is seeking Deli Associates for our Warminster, PA store. Overview The job purpose of a Deli Clerk is to prepare, display, and serve a variety of deli products with precision and adherence to food safety standards, while providing prompt and friendly service to customers, thereby ensuring product quality, fostering customer satisfaction, and contributing to department sales.

Duties Food Preparation & Handling:

Accurately slicing meats and cheeses, preparing salads, sandwiches, and other deli items according to recipes and standard guidelines, and ensuring proper cooking/holding temperatures for hot foods.

Customer Service:

Greeting customers, taking accurate orders, providing product recommendations, answering questions about ingredients or allergens, and efficiently serving customers with a friendly and positive attitude.

Merchandising & Display:

Stocking and arranging deli cases with fresh, appealing products, ensuring proper labeling, pricing, and visual presentation to attract customers.

Sanitation & Hygiene:

Strictly adhering to all food safety, cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including proper handwashing, cross-contamination prevention, regular cleaning of equipment (slicers, fryers, cases), and maintaining a clean workstation.

Inventory & Rotation:

Rotating products (FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to ensure freshness and minimize waste, and assisting with receiving and stocking new deli inventory.

Equipment Operation:

Safely and proficiently operating deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, fryers, and scales.

Problem Resolution:

Addressing customer concerns or escalating them to management as needed.

Professional Conduct and Communication:

Following management instructions, providing constructive feedback, completing all required training (including on company technologies and equipment), adhering to company policies and health regulations, and operating powered equipment only if trained. Performing all other duties as assigned by management. Skills Demonstrate basic math and English language proficiency.

Meet physical demands:

stand, walk, crouch, bend, stretch, regularly lift 50 lbs., up to 75 lbs., and perform duties that require significant walking, pushing, and pulling of equipment. Work in varying temperature conditions.
