Firefighter Junk Removal is a fast-growing, locally owned junk removal company in Austin, and we're looking for a high-energy, hardworking person who enjoys working with people to join our crew. We take tremendous pride in our brand, our reputation, and especially the way we treat our customers. We're not looking for someone who just wants to clock in, do the bare minimum, and collect a paycheck. We want someone who shows up with a good attitude, works hard, communicates well with customers, and wants to be part of a company that's growing VERY quickly. What You'll Be Doing This is a physical, customer-facing job , and every day is different. One day you might be picking up a mattress and couch. The next day you could be clearing out an entire house, hauling heavy furniture, removing appliances, cleaning out a garage, or tackling a crazy hoarder house. It's all on the menu. You'll be getting in and out of the truck, lifting, carrying, loading, cleaning up job sites, and interacting directly with customers throughout the day. You need to be strong and physically capable. We regularly deal with extremely heavy items, and you need to be comfortable safely handling items around 100 lbs with a teammate when the job requires it. If you're afraid of getting dirty or you're looking for an easy job where you can sit around most of the day, this probably isn't for you. The Type of Person We're Looking For We have a young, energetic crew of guys who work hard, joke around, and genuinely enjoy working together , and we're looking for someone who fits that environment. You'll probably love this job if you're someone who likes being active, hates sitting behind a desk all day, enjoys working with a good group of dudes, and doesn't mind getting dirty. We're looking for someone who: Has high energy and a positive attitude Is friendly and comfortable talking with customers Is physically strong and capable of demanding work Is dependable and shows up on time Is comfortable lifting and moving very heavy items with a teammate Doesn't mind working outside in the Texas heat Can joke around and have a good time while still getting the job done Takes pride in their work and how they represent the company Works well as part of a team Wants to grow with a company instead of just being another employee Culture matters to us. You're going to spend a lot of time in the truck and on jobs with the same group of guys, so we're looking for someone who brings good energy and genuinely enjoys being part of a team. Pay & Tips Starting pay is $165 per day PLUS tips. Tips are a BIG part of this business. Our crews receive both cash and credit card tips throughout the day. Depending on the jobs and tips, total daily earnings can often land around $200-$350. Tips are not guaranteed, but taking great care of our customers can make a significant difference in what you earn. There are also opportunities to make additional money on larger jobs. Part-Time → Full-Time Opportunity This position will start part-time , but Firefighter Junk Removal is growing VERY quickly. For the right person, we expect there to be an opportunity to move into full-time work quickly. We're a startup that's still in the early stages of what we're building. That means we're looking for people who want to get in early, prove themselves, take on more responsibility, and grow with us.
