Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli foods, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and maintaining product freshness. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage customer orders with professionalism, ensuring quick service and upselling opportunities to enhance sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and other food preparation tools. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and process cash transactions with accuracy. Support inventory management by restocking deli items and monitoring product freshness throughout shifts. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service customer order management, or retail sales transactions. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient checkout processes. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a quick service or fast-food environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and inventory counting.
