JOB SUMMARY

Join our team and get involved in craft beer! Crazy Gnome Brewery is a small production brewery and taproom in East Nashville, and we're looking for a reliable part-time employee to help keep brewery production moving. The primary responsibility of this position is straightforward: washing, sanitizing, and organizing beer kegs. This is a hands-on, physical brewery job. You'll primarily work independently using our keg-washing equipment to work through our dirty keg inventory and ensure clean kegs are ready when the brewery needs them. Additional brewery cleaning and basic production-support tasks may be assigned as needed. No previous brewery experience is required. We will train the right person. Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to work are more important to us than previous beer-industry experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Wash, clean, and sanitize beer kegs using brewery keg-washing equipment and established procedures. Inspect kegs and identify damaged or improperly functioning equipment. Move, stack, and organize clean and dirty kegs. Maintain a clean and orderly keg-washing and brewery work area. Properly handle brewery cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to established procedures. Complete assigned keg-washing and cleaning work accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Work independently and reliably complete assigned tasks without constant supervision. Follow all brewery safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment problems. Assist brewery staff with basic cleaning, organization, and production-support tasks as needed. Maintain regular attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years or older. No previous brewery experience required. Highly reliable with a solid work ethic. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Comfortable performing repetitive physical work. Comfortable working independently for much of the shift. Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation. Previous brewery, warehouse, production, manufacturing, kitchen, or similar experience is helpful but not required. Weekend/Night availability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a physical job in a working brewery environment. The position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Regularly bend, reach, kneel, stoop, push, pull, lift, and carry. Safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Move and stack empty stainless-steel beer kegs. Work around wet floors and wet equipment. Frequently immerse or expose hands to water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions while using appropriate protective equipment. Work in an environment that may be hot, cold, wet, and loud.

SCHEDULE

Approximately 8-12 hours per week . We can offer some flexibility in scheduling and are primarily looking for someone who can establish a dependable weekly routine. This could be a good fit for someone looking for a consistent side job, a student, someone currently working in the service industry, or someone interested in gaining experience inside a working brewery.
