Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression Manage restaurant reservations using designated reservation management systems to optimize seating flow Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and proper setup according to service standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly to support efficient service flow Handle phone inquiries with courteous communication, including reservation bookings and general questions using proper phone etiquette Support food service staff by ensuring timely table turnover and accurate order delivery when needed Skills Previous experience as a host/hostess is highly preferred...experience on paper is not enough Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and positive communication Familiarity with restaurant Toast Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating charts, and guest flow smoothly Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and guest billing when necessary Effective phone communication skills with professional phone etiquette for reservation management and guest inquiries Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor Your enthusiasm will help foster a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels valued from arrival to departure!

Pay:

$16.94 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
