Duties Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive Manage restaurant reservations using restaurant table management systems such as Open Table, ensuring accurate seating arrangements Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and provide wait time estimates when necessary Organize waitlists and coordinate seating to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest service flow Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area Uphold food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and ensuring guest comfort at all times Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a busy restaurant or food service environment preferred Strong background in restaurant reservation management and familiarity with restaurant table management systems like Open Table Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence Proven ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette Experience with POS systems, including Spot On, is highly desirable Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards is a plus Prior experience in hotel or hospitality environments can be advantageous Join us to be part of a team that values energetic service, clear communication, and creating memorable guest experiences.
