The purpose of this position is to greet customers at the door, escort customers to the dining and bar areas, answer incoming calls and fill to-go orders as needed. Hosts are responsible for ensuring guests have a positive dining experience from arrival until departure. General Responsibilities Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact. Escort guests to the assigned dining area, present menus, and announce the waiter's name. Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service. Tend to special guest needs and requests. Maintain a neat, organized, and clean host area. Receive payments by validating credit charges; approving checks; accepting currency; and calculating and issuing change for to-go orders. Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Previous expediting experience preferred Excellent oral communication skills are required. Positive interpersonal skills are required. Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.

ADA Information Physical Requirements:

Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Frequent sitting with some standing at times. Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual and fine motor skills. Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
