Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and ability to manage reservations and guest flow will be essential in ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Duties Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table utilization Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests via phone or in person Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow Keep the host/hostess station organized, including menus, reservation logs, and guest lists Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness of the host area and adhering to health guidelines Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong customer service skills Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly phone manner Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and guest relations Join us if you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, and thrive in a dynamic team environment!
