Job Summary Greets guests, takes reservations, seats guests, takes carry out orders, and assists servers/server assistants as needed. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Pervious hostess/dining room experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance and demeanor. Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, which includes, but is not limited to bending, stooping, standing and walking for long periods, lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Greet and acknowledge members and guests. Learns members' names and their special preferences. Ability to be flexible and self-motivated. Exceptional customer service skills. Job Tasks/Duties Takes reservations and checks table reservation schedules while being aware of banquets and functions, coordinates with Concierge regarding reservation in the system, and ensures all reservation information is accurate and consistent. Takes and executes carry-out orders accurately and efficiently. Confirms member name and number upon arrival, and ensures server receives this information. Greets members by last name (i.e. Mr.______ and Mrs.______) once member name is known. Seats members/guests promptly while making eye contact and smiling and provides menus when diners are seated. Handles any complaints from members/guests by informing Clubhouse Manager and/or Food and Beverage Manager immediately. Attends pre-meal meeting with dining room personnel when appropriate. Assists servers/server assistants as needed. Physical Requirement and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions.
