Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant. Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times. Answer phone calls promptly using proper phone etiquette; assist with reservation inquiries and general questions. Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and available for guests. Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Support guest relations by addressing concerns politely and efficiently, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the host station area to promote a safe environment for staff and guests. Requirements Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with diverse guests and team members. Proficiency in restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently. Basic math skills for handling guest counts, wait times, and reservation adjustments accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being. Experience in food service or hospitality industries is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest services is essential.
